Arcos Hydraulik is part of Dacke Industri AB.
To develop, manufacture and recondition hydraulic cylinders, systems and special products for customers in the Industry, Energy and Marine business areas in northern Europe.
Arcos was founded in 1947 in Buskåker in Borlänge, Sweden. The company initially manufactured gears for motorcycles. This business idea was successful until the company succumbed to competition from the Japanese market in the 1970s.
At that time, the company also manufactured industrial gears, and added air and oil cylinders to its production. Arcos saw the potential for development in the industry, and in the 1980s the company decided to focus entirely on hydraulics and moved to larger premises. Further expansion and generation changes have taken place over the years, and the company is now in its third generation of management.
In 2018 Arcos was acquired by Dacke Industri AB, resulting in a merger with PMC Cylinders in Sävsjö, Hällaryd and Nastola. The merged company was named Arcos Hydraulik.
